Ngorongoro Crater Day Trip Safari Package

• Pick-Up Location:
Arusha or Moshi at the earliest from 6. 00 AM for the whole day.
Thus, your journey begins at your hotel and then you will have an early morning breakfast and then take 3 hours to drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The view along the route include the Great Rift Valley and the highlands.

Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, it is advisable to have a look at the huge valley full of different animals, which includes elephants, wildebeests and cheetahs. When you are done with the crater rim, your guide will take you through a steep drop of 600 meters to the crater floor for your game drive.

The bohemian crater floor is a perfect place for wildlife. Watch the herds of zebras and buffaloes moving around freely while being careful to see the lions lying in the grass or the rhinos feeding on grass. This region is famous for having some of the largest concentration of wild animals in Africa and more than 30 000 animals live in this protected area.

The large crater and the surrounding areas are ideal for taking pictures so, make sure to do so on some of the most beautiful shots. Further explore the Ngorongoro Crater, going through a number of regions with high animal density, for example, Lake Magadi in the south, a salt lake that is pink due to the presence of flamingos and other water birds. Keep searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and even the black rhino that is very rare to see in the crater.

Have your lunch at one of the locations set up for viewing within the crater thus giving you a chance to sit back and admire the beautiful wildlife environment.

Afternoon: Last Extension of the Safari and Getting Back to Arusha/Moshi
In the afternoon, you will proceed with your game drive as you exit from the crater. You will be able to see more animals like the giraffe, the impala and many species of birds.

If time allows the guide will also take you to a local Maasai village where you can experience the culture of the Maasai people, which includes dancing and crafting.

About late in the afternoon, you should plan to proceed back to Arusha or Moshi respectively. More stunning view of the Ngorongoro Highlands are seen on the way back as you think about the wonderful safari you have had.
Get back to Arusha/Moshi in the evening at 6 O’clock.
Meals: The meal plan includes breakfast and lunch.

Dinner can be organized when you get back to the hotel depending on the individual’s preference.
