5 Day - Mount Meru, Into the clouds

A more gradual five-day ascent of Mount Meru, designed for trekkers who want additional time to acclimatise, settle into the mountain environment and prepare for the summit. The journey moves from the wildlife-rich lower slopes through montane forest and open moorland before reaching the dramatic volcanic crater rim and Socialist Peak at 4,566 metres. With a more measured pace and an additional night on the mountain, this route offers a rewarding alternative for those who prefer a less compressed Mount Meru experience.

Day 3: Suddle Hut and Acclimitisation
