 Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain of the African continent and is located in The United Republic of Tanzania It has the highest peak of 5,895m/19,341ft. It is well known for its snow capped top and the different climate zones where people climb it starting from the rainforest to the alpine desert. The time it takes is to usually climb from Kilimanjaro five to nine days, this being depending on the route that is taken and the of pace the climbers. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that there are certain challenges that include altitude and sickness though fatal incidents are infrequent, there have been some documented cases of deaths from altitude related complications. However, Mount Kilimanjaro is still one of the most popular trekking peaks in the world and is known to provide one of the most challenging as well as rewarding experiences with beautiful scenery.
