Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha

Meet your Nawahi team in Arusha and settle into your accommodation. Your private safari guide will provide a relaxed briefing covering the route, camping arrangements and wildlife experiences ahead. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure or arrange an optional Arusha city or cultural experience.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire

Depart Arusha and enter Tarangire National Park for your first full wildlife experience. Explore the park's iconic baobab landscapes, open plains, woodland and seasonal wetlands. Look for large elephant herds, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, antelope and predators while your guide follows current wildlife activity. Later, settle into your campsite and enjoy your first evening in the bush.

Day 3: Tarangire → Lake Manyara

Enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before continuing towards Lake Manyara National Park. Discover the park's changing habitats, from lush groundwater forest to open areas and the lake shore. Wildlife encounters may include elephants, giraffe, buffalo, baboons, hippos and a wide variety of birdlife.

Day 4: Lake Manyara → Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a relaxed morning around Lake Manyara before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. As the landscape rises into the volcanic highlands, settle into camp and enjoy the dramatic scenery surrounding the conservation area.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater → Serengeti

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for an immersive wildlife drive. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, flamingos and, with luck, black rhino. After the crater experience, continue towards Serengeti. Enter the vast plains and begin your first wildlife exploration before settling into camp.

Day 6: Serengeti Full-Day Safari

Follow wildlife activity across open plains, rocky kopjes and riverine areas. Search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and other resident wildlife. The flexible schedule allows you to spend more time around rewarding sightings rather than following a rigid timetable.

Day 7: Serengeti → Arusha

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti, making the most of the cooler hours when wildlife is often active. After leaving the park, continue towards Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depending on your departure time, additional stops or a short local experience can be arranged.
